| Bio: | Ryou is a regular on the tennis team at Rokkaku Junior High, able to play singles and doubles; the only time he’s actually on the list (they’re a minor team in the series), he’s slated to play singles 2, but their team is defeated before that game. The school is located in Chiba, outside of Tokyo, and has been to the Kantou regional tournament 35 years in a row (whether that includes this year – 2007 – or not, is unclear). Ryou has a twin brother who also plays tennis; sometime the year before the series started, the manager from a private school in Tokyo came to Chiba – to Rokkaku – to recruit a player he’d heard about. Mizuki Hajime watched Ryou play – and then spoke to Atsushi on the beach about playing for St. Rudolf’s. Mizuki didn’t realize his mistake until it was too late. Ryou is very much a beach bum, like the rest of his team, and their coach is… excentric. Whatever he does seems to work, as he’s lead the team to the Kantou regional tournament for so many years. So no one questioned him when he randomly picked a first year student (7th grade) to be captain of the team for this season. Thanks to the people at FET for the information on Ryou.
